One Million Stars has done it again...

Olivia Ong, a Chinese Singaporian who has flown under-the-radar over the past few years, has made headlines again. She originally was in J-Pop with a short lived group by the name of Mirai with 2 other girls at the age of 15. To me, this girl is quite nice to listen to. I like, and quite glad I found out about herI think I'm going to go see if I can find her albums and listen to it. Her best-selling single is supposedly "A Girl Meets Bossy Nova". Time to look for it!

This is Mark Vincent, a 15 year old Australia's Got Talent 2009 winner (from earlier this year). This guy can flat out sing, and his album, My Dream - Mio Visione has been out, and isn't bad at all. In it, he sings pretty famous songs which includes Time to Say Goodbye, Ave Maria, You Raise Me Up, and many more.

Look forward to hearing more from him in the near future.
(kind reminds me of what happened with Paul Potts, who ended up to be an international star, singing everywhere and even has a track in a Korean drama OST)

Power of 9...

So Nyuh Shi Dae (also known as Girl's Generation), a Korean 9 member all-girl group is holding their first ever solo- concert (Korea and then Asia tour), and guess what? All the tickets have been sold out within the first 3 minutes it went to public.

3 minutes. W-T-F. Then again, those 9 girls are..mmmmm.

On another note, I think I'm going to start watching some dramas soon again. What should I watch?
I've been told to watch ToGetHer (with Rainie Yang 楊丞琳 and Jiro Wang 汪東城). Maybe I should finish Cinderella Man (Im Yoona and Kwon Sang Woo).
Or catch up on Weeds (Mary-Louise Parker), which is pretty good too.

Christmas is just around the corner. I swear it still feels like October...
Anyway, since I started with the 3-minute sellout of the 9 member girl group, here's the "SNSD" Group's latest single, Chocolate Love (the song was actually made for the new Chocolate phone for LG, but Koreans being Koreans, they like to do everything and make everything look 1000x better than what you'd see here in the Americas):

That cute girl above there is the korean teenage singer IU, coming back with her second mini-album, "IU...IM" soon. Ever since I somehow stumbled upon her and her songs, I've been hooked, so I'm just clearly prepping myself for her album. The upcoming album's supposed to be all based on her feelings/emotions/thoughts, etc. all put into her songs (like all other people with their songs..lol) but it's supposed to have a good variety to demonstrate her singing talents and ability to express herself through her music.

Her "comeback stage" on M! Countdown is scheduled to be in about 6 days. I hope it's going to be good!
And the first snowfall has arrived in Markham earlier today. Just sayin'.

曹格 - Gary Cao

Oh yes, Gary Cao live in Toronto, part of his Canada Live Tour '09. I went there yesterday with Katherine and her friend, and I don't know why Massey Hall wasn't filled, because this guy can flat out sing. Despite the fact that the show started late and didn't go as long as I'd hope it would, it was still worthwhile to hear Gary sing. He even sang other people's songs (all in Cantonese) too!

Apparently, back when he was filming his MV for Superwoman, a fan girl came up to him and asked for a picture...and he noticed her, thought she was really pretty, etc etc, and that girl is now his wife. (Short condensed version of what he said at the concert last night, lol).

Whoever doesn't know about Gary Cao and his singing talent... well, you're missing out.

He has 4 albums out so far: 格格 Blue, Superman, Super Sunshine and Supermarket.

Recently, I've been watching a lot of this Taiwanese based singing contest/show (like American Idol). It started out in 2007 and it's still going strong.
The artists they have on the show are pretty good singers in general, so good music plus a good host and comedy, what more can I ask for?
Season 6 starts Oct. 30th! lol.
